Nice batch of pics. I know you posted some of these on your flickr account. I particularly like the red lilypad with all of the hatching dragonfly larvae and the one below it, that you call "sky and water."

Oh; my father seems to have similar appeal, despite his years. An open smile is an appealing feature on almost any face.

Wonderful pics :). Shame the sun doesn't return like that (Though it's always warmer in/near Hampton Court) - those skies are amazing!

Thank you. :)
At least this summer we have some sun, unlike the wet grey `summer' of last year.. still, I feel that if the sun doesn't return for at least a month before winter sets in again I may go crazy and run away.

Ahh, the joy of global warming is oft-underestimated! Shame about all the deaths/floods/droughts/whirlwinds though.....

It's not too shabby here (I live in south Suffolk) - and, knowing merry old England, we'll have 27º heat in winter months yet....

Simply dreamy, as always. Your posts always inspire me to work harder to raise the tangible value of the status quo. On that thought, a row of hostas is calling my name. And another bottle of La Crema Chardonnay.

I love that zodiac calendar. Baroque old-world machinery really turns my crank (pun intended).

"Is that a syringe on the lilypad?"

Very crisp style and photos. Impressive.

Found you whilst trying to work out how many degrees of separation I am from a couple of ex-girlfriends who use or used to use lj.

Pretty!

I am very sadly scrolling through pages of friendposts trying to remember what I'm doing here, but pretty pictures are always appreciated :)

It's good to know I can still keep people briefly distracted with shiny pretty things. ;)
