Recipe for a good day:
(Lettuce, roma tomatoes, avocado, gala apple, hard boiled egg, black olives, green grapes, kidney beans, cougar gold cheese (made at the University of Washington), parmesan cheese, pepper, and a mustard & honey vinagrette).
That's interesting, the first salad that really got me "into" salads was one I had in Belgium in 96'. I wish I could remember the exact ingredients now.. something to do with warm turkey and walnuts. :)
I'm not sure what kind of blossoms they are. I moved here in November so this is the first time I've seen that plant bloom.

Mmmm.... that salad look goo..oo..oo..oo..oo..ood! Roma tomatoes... trying to think what type they are. The organic greengrocers near us just had some of the most amazing tomatoes, no, the most amazing tomatoes I have ever tasted, from Sicily. They looked like little red pumpkins, and tasted almost as sweet as plums, and were good and firm so they didn't slush up and run away all over the chopping board when you chop them. I made myself a big plate, about a pound of tomatoes, all sliced in half, drizzled in olive oil and covered in salt and pepper. It was so gorgeous I had to go back and have another one... managed to work my way through the entire huge bag of tomatoes I'd just bought.
The blossoms look beautiful too. Nice photos!
Roma tomatoes are also known as plum tomatoes.. because they're um, shaped like a plum. :)I love perfectly ripe tomatoes, especially cherry tomatoes. When we used to have a garden we would pick leaves off our basil plant, wrap them around ripe cherry tomatoes and then pop them in our mouths. It tasted incredible. I've never heard of the kind you mentioned, they sound tasty.
