We didn't try any of those in particular, but I did try foie gras and duck patè for the first time during that trip and they weren't my thing (too rich). I was curious about those coquilles saint-jacques. I've had them freshly made before, but the coating on the ones you get in the traiteurs looks so bizarre I want to try it.
I don't comment often, but I read you constantly. The pictures alone are more then worth it but your text is actually quite interesting as well.
B/T/W - Just back from my own vacation - slept in Port Angeles and waved in the direction as we swept past Port Townsend. The Olympic Peninsula is beautiful, I could easily retire there.
