This is an absolute treasure trove of rare early Kate Bush music. I am in heaven:
Also it is the first time I've seen these beautiful photographs. They were taken of Kate by her brother when she was as old as I was when I started listening to and loving her music. The photos evoke memories from my own island childhood.
"An old foot bellows organ which wheezed and squeaked dusty puffs of prayer books and cold, Methodist chapels. Mice lived inside it and when they were away it could be persuaded to make a sound. Out of tune and rotting it was, but the red velvet washers on the stops were still bright and attractive and it drew Cathy into the rockpools of her music. It's sad that we have not learned to use tape recorders like cameras."
thank you whorlpool
I always wished they'd get married, too. Have you ever heard the song Another Day, which is a duet they did way before Don't Give Up. I think it's on the Live at the Hammersmith Odeon album. I'm not sure if there are any mp3s of it, but it's probably worth checking around.
I found those photographs really inspirational and yes, she is beautiful.
I also wish she would release another album, it seems like there's too little of her music out in the world. I'll have to find the Don't Give Up video, it's ages since I saw it last.
