Went to Borough Market today. Ate greek tartelettes (feta, olives, spinach), venison burgers with cumberland sauce, hot fresh apple juice, and bought a load of other food: two bottles of Rogue Mocha Porter, one bottle Lindeman's kriek, aged Comté cheese, chipotle and green chilies, masa harina, loaf of sourdough bread, and Spanish padron peppers.

Borough market is excellent, and it's nice to see some photos of it, - been such a long time since I've been (mmm, look at all that fresh garlic, and I'd kill for some of that venison). Equally cool and somewhat more esoteric is Spitalfields market (Sundays, Liverpool St/Aldgate East) which I used to live next to...

This was my first visit surprisingly. It's not huge, but has a great variety of stuff.. will have to return often. The venison burgers.. oh my.. now that is what I call quality fast food. :)
Never heard of Spitalfields. Yet another market to check out (along with Billingsgate fish market!)
The link to your website doesn't work. :(
YOu are making me so nostalgic for London. I used to live near Borough market and adored the place. I MISS the Neal's Yard cheese shop (thank heavens we now have one decent Italian cheeseshop in the centre here, but not a patch on Neal's Yard).
I thought I could not possibly miss London. But with your post and another recent on on LJ I suddenly want a while back there. My sister wants to do a flat-and-pet-swop in late summer so maybe that's a good opportunity. Oh - Tate Modern. I hear Zandra Rhodes has opened her fashion museum around there too?
Okay, I am going to arrange this :-)
Neal's Yard, love that place. :) If I lived near Borough Market I would do most of my grocery shopping there. Though we do have a good farmer's market near us on Saturdays.
The Fashion & Textile Museum is Zandra Rhode's. I haven't been yet, but I intend to go. The current exhibition is "French Design from the 1950's through the 1980's"!
