ohh, thanks for the link to the video. Glad you like them, I enjoy their new album but will admit I love their first more. And if you like that you'd probably love their remix album and 'please smile my noise bleed'...ahh..i want to go to iceland...
Yay! I'll watch this at work, the land of infinite bandwidth. Would you believe it, I haven't even listened to the MP3 track yet ... family duties and Ruby hacking got in the way :-)
On my bike ride yesterday I got as far as Tower Records but, after soul-searching, decided not to go inside and buy the CD because I didn't have a lock and was worried about leaving the bike outside. Maybe today on the way home from work. Or maybe Amazon.
While searching for information on them I came across two other bands named Mum who I've also been enjoying. Their music is quite different.
If/when I buy a Múm cd I'm kind of leaning towards their first album. But I'll probably end up with both eventually. :)
that video makes me all kinds of nostalgic for my vacation
oh, and as far Mum CD buying tips go -- the remix album has its good moments, but (like many remix albums) it's a very mixed bag. The 2nd album is more consistent than the 1st, which makes it good background for working, but the songs tend to flow into each other without any real identity -- whether that's a good or bad thing is left to the listener.
